Rusty

We first met Rusty in June 2007 when we were at the humane society looking for Splat. We sure hadn't planned on a third dog, but he sure captured my heart the way he followed me from one door in the "cell" he was in to the other and wanting a nose rub. Frank convinced me that a sheltie would be more practical if I wanted to pursue my hobbie of dog agility. (He didn't have a hard sell!) Little did we know then where we would be today!

So we joked that Rusty was the substitute cat, and he didn't seem to mind. I think he will take any abuse if there is a hug at the end of it - see the pic of Sarah holding him upside down.

His history baffles us, as he is a purebred, and has been very well trained in obedience, yet found as a stray and never claimed. I am not sure that we are the best home he could have had as he often seems to get lost in the crowd of big dogs, but we are his home non the less, and he is part of the gang now.

Oct /07 Rusty and I went to beginner obedience classes in Pike Lake, had lots of fun and met some of our neighbours.
