Our dog would love to come, can we bring her? Although Cheerio is pretty laid back and used to dogs, your dog may get excited around him and the other horses. Also the chickens would prefer to not have a dog chase them. We can make arrangements to kennel your dog while you’re here if you can’t leave her at home.
Do you provide snacks or drinks? No, but your welcome to bring a picnic lunch and drinks with you. After you have finished playing with the animals enjoy our guest area; have a bonfire if you like, make yourself at home.
Can we bring something to feed the animals? Yes, it seems like the kids get more of a thrill when they bring something from home, and your welcome to. Cheerio and the other horses like carrots, he isnt' too keen on apples though. The bunnies like bananas, spinach, apples as well as the carrots if Cheerio isn't being a piggie. The chickens like a bit of stale bread. All in moderation of course
Are there any rules? Yep, sorry! Running up and down the hills a zillion times is great: however climbing fences, onto buildings or going into the horses corral is not so good. Yell, whoop and holler all you like when you are playing, but around the animals we have to remain calm and careful. We have a zero tolerance level for any cruelty or negligence around the animals and will not hesitate to put them back in their pens. Inside the chicken coop/bunny hutch is off limits (they come outside into a pen). Your kids will have a nicer time if they know this ahead of time.
